115 rue Rachel East, Montreal, Quebec, H2W 1C8
Romados is the place to go for Portuguese rotisserie chicken. For under 10$+tx you can get a 1/2 chicken, a generous serving of fries, salad and bun or tart. The chicken is delicious without any additional sauce. However, if you do want it spicy, don’t forget to ask them to brush on the sauce before they pile on the salad and fries on top of the chicken.
When you get there, you’ll most likely find two lineups. The left is reserved for those with orders, while the right is for walk-in orders. If you can, try to place your order in advance to avoid waiting, especially during lunch or dinner.
Finally, if you’re planning to eat at Romados, make sure you have alternative plans as it doesn’t offer much in seating. Weather permitting, think about grabbing your order to go and head towards Park Avenue (about 3 blocks or a 15minute walk west on Rachel) to enjoy your meal at either Jeanne-Mance Park or Mount-Royal.
