The Montreal subway system, or the Metro as it’s known to Montrealers, is considered the fastest way to get around the city. Although it is slightly faster during rush hour (between 7am-9am and 4pm-6pm) it is also much more crowded with people rushing home or heading out for drinks or supper after work.  So, if you can, avoid those times.
