Crescent is one of the major streets in Montreal that is known for its bars, clubs and restaurants.  It is one of the major social areas where you can have your choice of terrasses to chill on a Friday night.  One place in particular is in one of those hard to find spots unless you’re with a Montreal local to find it and that is Brutopia.

It is located between Ste-Catherine and Rene-Levesque.  You won’t see this bar at eye level since its located on the second level.  Brutopia is known for its vast collection of Quebec’s locally brewed beer.  They have a wide variety of flavoured beer and during the weekends they have a feature band.

They have three separate floors and three terrasses.  They’re open every day until the wee hours of three in the morning.  And not to worry they do serve food.  They are known for their tapas and other sandwiches so if you have the munchies waive down a waitress and order yourself some grub from their menu.

If you’re really interested in local Montreal musical artists, Brutopia features an open mic night every Sunday starting around 10pm.  So kick back with their infamous Apricot beer and watch the local artists “do their thang” as you wrap up your vacation or your weekend getaway in Montreal.
